Burnley Star Wars Fun Day 02 May 2011

Burnley Fun Day, Sue has already put a blog about Burnley, I'm just putting a little as don't want it not to be in my Diary of Blogs.
Ian and I arrived the night before, met up with Sue and Daran from JQ Sabers and Stu and Vicki Ross for a drink and catch up, great to see these guys again, then it was off to get ready to go out for a meal, we'd been invited by Neil Livesey who organises the event for a meal at the Indians with himself, a few others and some of the Stars of SW. I've got to say, Neil had it planned out great, and loved his Menu he's made up, an alternative Menu inclduing Bantha etc, it was fab (I kept one) then it was back to the Hotel with them for a few drinks, we had a great night and was lovely getting to know Nick Gillard and Mark Cookson.

The morning of the Fun Day was a round up of cars to follow to the Club, great to meet up with all the familiar faces we've seen and gotten to know in the 99th, yeah, Daz too, even though he's a relentless torment! But great to see everyone again and have a catch up before it was into costume and out with the public, a busy day in there, great to see Rebel Legion were there too and a fantastic set of guys who had some brilliant props they'd been making. 

As you can see by the photo, the props are amazing, and they're not finished building thankfully, can't wait to see what they come up with next.




A great first outing for fab costume Mehmah Roothes, that went down a treat with everyone, Daz and Neo in their matching RC costumes, fantastic! And not forgetting Nigel's new 'face', awesome.

As was everyone's, great to cathch up with everyone and looking forward to the next one. As I say, short and sweet as I know Sue already done her Blog on this.
